and also holds a scholarship at the Junior Royal Academy of Music.
He won Richmond and Kingston competitions in
2003 and 2004 respectively and in 2005 won the London International Music
Competition against adult musicians from 15 countries.

Bach: Partita No 2; selection of Preludes and Fugues;
Mozart: K397: Sonata K570;
Schumann: "Scenes from Childhood".

Jill Crossland was born in Yorkshhire and began playing the piano at the age of four.
She studied at Chethams School and at the Royal Northern College of Music with
Ryszard Bakst. While a student she performed the complete cycle of Bach's 48 Prerludes
and Fugues from memory. She was a semi-finalist in the V11th International Bach
competition in Leipzig. After winning the Edward Boyle scholarship, Jill studied in Vienna
with Paul Badura Skoda. She now pursues an active performing and recording career
and has performed throughout the the UK, including regular appearances at the Wigmore
Hall and South Bank; she has undertaken frequent freelance engagements with the LSO
as well as appearing on radio and television; she has made a number of Bach, Beethoven
and Mozart recordings and also recorded some film and TV soundtracks.

The Hout Bay Music Project was founded in 2003 by Leanne Dollman through her desire to
offer children of the Hout Bay community (Cape Town, SA) the opportunity to play a musical
instrument and receive tuition, and to provide a platform for children and adults to interact in
the community which is still a divided one. Some of the children come from difficult
backgrounds, sometimes involving crime and violence. Time and again the project sees
disruptive and angry children become motivated, engaged and joyful individuals.
